Gina M. LaPlaca, Esq. is an accomplished attorney with proven aptitudes for legal counsel, research, analysis and policy development in the public and private sectors. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of State Government Affairs for 10 years with Verizon New Jersey, Deputy Budget Director and Associate General Counsel for the New Jersey General Assembly Majority Office and Deputy Counsel – Authorities, Utilities, Transportation and Communications Section for the Office of Legislative Services. LaPlaca earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from the University of Pennsylvania and her law degree (J.D.) from Fordham University School of Law. She is a member of the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the New Jersey World Trade Center Scholarship Fund, New Leaders Council, Camden County Police Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Camden County and Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey, and is a volunteer at Camden Companions Animal Rescue. LaPlaca has also been named to InsiderNJ’s Insider 100 Power List (2018) and Top 100 Policymakers List (2017, 2018), as well as being named a recipient of Burlington County Time’s Emerging Leader Awards (2015).
